PRESIDENT SAMIA OPENS THE NYAKANAZI - KABINGO ROAD (50 KM)

Residents of Kigoma congratulate President Samia for further opening up the Kigoma region. The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Samia Suluhu Hassan today October 16, 2022 in Kakonko District, Kigoma Region has officially opened the Nyakanazi-Kabingo road (km.50) having been built for approximately 43 billion shillings and its construction managed by TANROADS. Speaking at the opening of the road, President Samia said the Government has decided to open the road, as well as laying foundation stones, as it is the Government's efforts to bring development to the people. "We are on a tour in Kigoma Region, we have started with the Kakonko district, the Kakonko Water Project, This is a great sign that the Government has decided to bring development," said Hon. President. He added, "The opening of the Nyakanazi-Kabingo road is one of the Government's promises to facilitate commercial activities for citizens. Also, the presence of various projects will help to promote the development of the people and the people should continue to work hard". On his part, the Minister of Works and Transport Hon. Makame Mbarawa said the construction of the road is a great stimulus to the economy, and congratulated President Samia for the great work she has done until the completion of the project. Speaking at different times, the residents of Kakonko have praised the efforts of President Samia and the Government she leads for opening up the Kigoma region, especially in the road infrastructure (Works Sector). The Nyakanazi-Kabingo road connects the regions of Kagera, Geita, Shinyanga, and Mwanza and also connects the neighboring countries of Burundi through the Manyovu border. The construction of the road is the Government's strategy to ensure that all roads connect the regions and neighboring countries, as well as the internal ones are built to the level of asphalt (bitumen standard).
